Terms

Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order, by paying your deposit it will be deemed that the terms and conditions are understood and accepted. If there is anything you don’t understand please feel free to contact us.

Price

The price for the order shall be stated on your order form. You agree to pay the full price to There’s Always Room For Cake in accordance with the order form after the details are checked and agreed by you.

Deposits

All cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost to secure your booking.

All deposits become due when the order has been placed and details checked and agreed by you. All orders are deemed to have been accepted only when the deposit has been paid.  If your deposit is not paid within 1 month (for wedding cakes) or 14 days (for celebration cakes) of quoting we reserve the right to cancel any previous arrangements.

Final payment for your wedding cake is required no later than 14 days before collection/ delivery.

Final payment for your celebration cake can be made on the day of collection. Please note that cheques cannot be used as a payment method on the day of collection (same day bank transfer or cash).

If full payment is not received and cleared in our account before cake collection / delivery then the order will not be released.

Alterations to orders

Your cake is very important to us. Please take the time to check your copy of the order form carefully and let us know in writing within three days if changes are needed. It is your responsibility to advise There’s Always Room For Cake of any alterations to the original order. The Company reserves the right to increase a quoted fee in the event that the Customer requests a variation to the work agreed. Whilst every effort will be made to assist Customers, please note that late changes cannot always be guaranteed.

Collection

Your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time. A signature is required upon collection confirming that you have received your order in good condition and as specified.

Delivery

Delivery charges are calculated on a mileage and time basis. Alternatively cakes can be collected from our premises.

It is our intention that your cake will be delivered in perfect condition prior to the start of your event.
It is the Customers responsibility to ensure that you have given us correct delivery information, and that someone is available to receive your cake. A signature will be required for the receipt of the order upon delivery.

If you choose delivery, it is our intention that your cake will be delivered in perfect condition prior to the start of your event. However we ask for patience with factors that may be beyond our control (e.g. traffic conditions) as we cannot be held liable for any such delays.

We cannot be held liable for any damage that is rendered to the cake at the venue once we have left the premises.

If you chose to collect the cake, we will not be held liable for any damage to the cake once it has left our premises.

Setting Up

Should you require your cake to set up it is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided There’s Always Room For Cake with the correct set-up details and arrangements have been made with the venue regarding the location and display of your cake. Please ensure, therefore, that the display location is level, stable and strong enough to hold a cake. Please take extra care to ensure a stable cake table is available if you are having a marquee wedding, as surrounding floorboards can easily rock the cake once stood on.

Once the cake has been delivered, set up and signed for, There’s Always Room For Cake is unable to accept liability for any interference with or damage to the cake thereafter.

If a cake is to be delivered and set up by There’s Always Room For Cake, a signature will be require from your venue management confirming the cake has been received and set up in good condition. A photograph of the cake will be taken prior to departure to verify that the cake has been set up and left in good condition.

Cupcake Stand Hire

If you would like to hire a cupcake stand a cash deposit is required prior to release. Deposit amounts vary dependant on the item being hired. Hired items should be returned to us safely within 7 days of the event. Once the hired item is received back your deposit will be returned subject to no breakages or damage.

Cancellations / Refunds

If cancellation of an order takes place we reserve the right to retain your non-refundable 50% deposit.

Your cake order booking is reserved solely for you and certain components for your cake/s may be ordered months in advance. If cancellation of an order takes place we reserve the right to retain your non-refundable 50% deposit. If cancellation takes place less than 7 days before the event then we reserve the right to seek 100% of the order value.

Cancellations must be made in writing (by letter or email) to There’s Always Room For cake and will only be deemed to take effect from the date your letter/email is received at our premises.

If you postpone the event we will endeavour to transfer your order providing the date is suitable for ourselves, otherwise it will be treated as a cancellation.

Allergies

Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it is prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings, so we cannot guarantee it will be completely free from them.

Please feel free to discuss with us if you or any of your guests have special dietary requirements.

Portion Guides

Our portion guides are intended as an approximate guide only. Portions will vary dependent upon how the cake is cut.

Best before Date / Storage Conditions

Your sponge cake will be fresh to eat 1 week from the time of baking. Please see instructions for cake storage on our info page. Sponge cakes are baked a day or two before the required date.
